Методы сбора

Native, archaeophytic and recently established non-native (neophytic) plant species in Germany were considered.

Описание этапа методики:

1. To assess the conservation status, the information available on the population status and population trends of each native species is represented using the following four criteria.
2. Current population status: estimation of the extent of the populations of a species currently established in Germany.
3. Long term population trend: population development in the past 50 to 150 years. There are seven trend classes: very strong decrease (<<<), strong decrease (<<), moderate decrease (<), decline of unknown extend ((v)), stable (=), significant increase (>), and insufficient data (?).
4. Short-term population trend: population development in the past 10 to 25 years. There are similar trend classes as of the long term population trend: very strong decrease (vvv), strong decrease (vv), moderate decrease or decrease of unknown extent (v), stable (=), significant increase (^), and insufficient data (?).
5. Risk / stable sub-populations: predicts whether the short-term population trend will deteriorate over the next ten years, and whether a species will become extinct in the foreseeable future if the current level of threat remains the same or if extinction is unlikely due to a stable current population status.
6. The red list category is based on the four criteria. There are ten national red list categories for Germany: extinct or lost (0; Ausgestorben oder verschollen), critically endangered (1; Vom Aussterben bedroht), endangered (2; Stark gefährdet), vulnerable (3; Gefährdet), endangerment of unknown extent (G; Gefährdung unbekannten Ausmaßes), extremely rare (R; Extrem selten), near threatened (V; Vorwarnliste), not threatened (*; Ungefährdet), data deficient (D; Daten unzureichend), and not assessed (nb; Nicht bewertet). A direct comparison with IUCN criteria is not possible due to different methodologies in criteria assessment.
